Before e-mail, before e-trade, before e-harmony – we were E. Why you ask? Our name comes from the suite number on the tiny space we leased when we opened our doors in 1987. Original founder and partner Brad Burke wanted to choose a name that was both distinctive and descriptive of our collaborative working method. Had we leased a different space we might easily have incorporated as Studio D or Studio F. In hind sight – it was amazingly prescient. Here are a few photos of our first home.
Our success continues to be a consequence of our “many voices” approach to design and problem solving. Here’s a link to our website, which showcases the present group of talented practitioners who make up Studio E Architects.
