Framing Underway At Brisas De Paz

Framing underway at Building 8

This 62 unit affordable housing project in Desert Hot Springs is moving fast. Framing is in progress on all nine of the buildings. The walls are being prefabricated in a local factory and then erected on site, as shown in the photo above. You can really start to get a feel for the intricate massing and scale of the project. The massive boxes with deeply recessed windows contrasting with the areas with large window openings and balconies with overhanging roofs to provide much needed shade from the desert sun.

The views from the residential unit balconies are going to be fantastic!

We are starting to get a sense of what the main public recreation area on the interior of the site will feel like. This lawn runs east-west between two groups of buildings and will contain the laundry building (the concrete slab in the foreground of the following picture), a BBQ area and a tot lot, with the Community Building and pool at the far end.
